History

Reverb Galaxy (RG) formed in 2007, and played up and down the East Coast from Connecticut to Virginia until disbanding in 2013. Unlike many of their comptemporaries in the surf instrumental genre, RG attempted to update the traditional surf sound with more complex arrangements, recording techniques and songwriting.  Their sole cd release, ANGLE OF ATTACK, received much critical acclaim from the music press, including Phil Dirt  (Reverb Central) and Vintage Guitar Magazine,  but the new style was not readily accepted by surf traditionalist who wanted  a more standardized sound. An annual staple at Otto's in NYC, the band would don Cosmonaut patched spacesuits with blue flashing shades and accompanied by the go-go dancing Neptinas, were known for their aggresive surf style that was complemented by strong melodies and fresh chord progressions.
